Artificial intelligence (A.I.) is impacting almost every aspect of our lives. It is in our smart phones, our cars, our banks, our fitness trackers and our entertainment streaming platforms. It is being used to develop more efficient services in healthcare, education, finance and transport. But with the increasing commentary in the media about robots taking our jobs, do we have cause for concern?

At You + A.I. Creative Cluster series we will start at the very beginning. If you are unsure what A.I. is, what it means, where it is being used, but are very curious, then this cluster series is for YOU.

Previous technical knowledge is NOT required!

You + A.I. is giving students, university staff, industry professionals and interested citizens a place to come together to learn, discuss, explore, play and experiment with the technologies shaping our future. You will hear from UTS researchers, industry thought leaders and some amazing minds in the field of artificial intelligence. The four workshop program commences Tuesday 10 October and will run each Tuesday night until 31 October 2017. The sessions open at 5:30pm for a 6pm start and will conclude at 8pm.

Session 3: A.I. and the Future of Us (Tuesday 24 October)
A.I. may help us live longer, and learn better but what does it mean for the future of humans if A.I. can also produce art and be creative? In this session we will look at the changing relationship between humans and technology and confront some of the ethical dilemmas that face our future with machines.

Session 4: A.I. and our Future Together (Tuesday 31 October)
There is no doubt A.I. is changing our future but will it be a utopian or a dystopian future? In this last session we will explore both visions of the future in an interactive session.
