In this tooltime session we will share some quick tips on how to use Microsoft Forms in your teaching, particularly in getting to know your students.

Why use Microsoft Forms?

  • To easily collect feedback or information
  • Create surveys with automatic marking
  • Collect, export and analyse answers easily

How can student surveys help me get to know my students?

Look at the following blog posts by Adam Morgan, Lecturer, Institute for Interactive Media and Learning, who writes about how they have helped him create a welcoming and personalised experience for students.

This session will pay particular attention to how these surveys can be carried out in larger classes and short-cut the manual analysis of student feedback. The tips and tricks around Microsoft Forms can be used for student surveys and much more!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

What is Tooltime?

Tooltime is a series of short informal showcases, where staff from all areas are given the opportunity to share a gadget, tool, app, workflow or technique. The technologies showcased can range from anything that could engage learners, streamline teaching or are simply time savers. Sessions do not have to formally address teaching and learning concepts in-depth, but rather recognise the technology’s potential capabilities in this area. Each session in the series will run for 30 minutes and are intended for either academic or professional staff.
