Academics, professional staff and students are invited to a FFYE forum on Students as collaborators and partners in the transition curriculum space.

Building from our last FFYE forum on the topic of Belonging and sense of identity (see First Year Experience Network), we draw on practices and expertise within UTS on the topic of Students as collaborators and partners in the transition curriculum space. Please join us on 3rd May, (nametags from 1:30), in CB06.04.040.

UTS is part of an Australian-wide Student Voice project that is looking at ways to involve students in faculty and university governance.  The focus for  this forum (and of UTS) is students, as partners, working with academics and professional staff in the curriculum co-design space. To bring in the international perspective, Dr Lucy Mercer-Mapstone will provide a keynote address on Student engagement through student-staff partnership. Lucy recently joined UTS as a Lecturer in Higher Education Learning Design in the Faculty of Science at UTS.

Using the rich array of practices in this space at UTS, we will hear from academics, professional staff and students on ways they have work together to build resources, co-design new subjects and develop improved learning practices. Opportunities for networking and collaboration through activities are designed to support you in your own practice.

As part of the afternoon, a delicious afternoon tea will be served.  Please let me know if you have any dietary considerations

If you are able to join us, please RSVP me at kathy.egea@uts.edu.au, including your name, role and faculty/unit/division.

Dr Kathy Egea, Senior Lecturer, UTS First and Further Year Experience (FFYE) Coordinator
